I have a grow out tank with a couple dozen grow out managuense.  They are all F1 from my wild pair of Honduran managuense.  The largest of them is one inch...some smaller.  Even at that small size it's easy to see how pretty they will be.

Like the adults, they will often assume this position, waiting for food to be thrown in the tank.  This is one several males in the tank.



You can see how easy it is to sex the fish even at this size.  The male is proportionately larger than the females.

The largest of the males looking for food at the bottom of the tank.  ON all of my tanks, I feed small amounts more often rather than once or twice a day.  That way I am sure everyone is eating and there is a minimum of food left over.  All of these fry are in the tank with a very large Pleco.  No food is left over in this tank. ;)

While I can't say for sure, it appears as if the fins grow faster than the body of the fish...much like a puppy growing into his paws.

Female in mid yawn.  When I take these photos I keep the camera to my eye scanning the tank full of fry looking for an opportunity for a shot.  Sometimes it's just timing.

By the looks of it males surely will be perfect when they grow up.That's one big pleco by the way.

Do you know what kind of restrictions you have on importing tropical fish?

I know someone who can import fishes. But  the worst thing is the price of the water. They charge per gallon. I am not sure whether the fries or the babies can survive during the shipment. We need 4-6 cm (1.5"-2") fishes. How many fishes fit into one package and how much will be its volume and weight?
Would those fishes stay calm in that package during the shipment? We don't want them to fight with each other.
Most important requirements are;
- Importer (we will arange this part)
- The bill (If it can be as low as possible even if you get the full money we can pay less tax)
- Health certificate (this is your part)
- Healty fishes (without them, nothing works )

I am not sure but lately at the border animals stay in quarantine for some time with appropriate conditions.
Excluding the tax and the shipment, how much will it cost for us? I mean what are the prices of those fishes? Will you sell them or give them as a gift?

Dear Mo,questions I hope you did not bother you. Our goal is to own different types of aquariums just to see. you all a very nice fish. There are a lot of fans on this site, including me. Without external support (like yours), it is very difficult to get new species here. Classisal importers choose only well-known common fishes to import. The other fishes can only be seen on the net unless people like you help us. In Turkey, there are many kind of species but they are not enough. We need more. That's why we ask your help.
